Kids

Our British Cycling accredited, “FCCC Flyers”, kids’ cycle coaching sessions primarily take place at our new venue at the King George V Playing Fields, Sycamore Road, Farnborough GU14 6PQ.

You can find us on Facebook too at  https://www.facebook.com/fcccflyers or if you wish to follow us.

The sessions are run on Sunday mornings from 9am till 10am during term time. The cost is £36 for one child, or £60 for two, for a six-week block of sessions.

Kids from 5-11 are catered for. If they can ride a bike without stabilisers, then they can join in. They will need to bring their own bike, a properly fitting helmet and suitable clothing (we recommend the children wear gloves).

We have created a 4-tier ‘Development Pathway’ program which each child is assessed upon individually to allow each of our Flyers to improve their riding skills while they train with us. The sessions are run by the club’s team of British Cycling-trained coaches, all of whom are of course fully DBS checked. More details can be obtained through our club welfare officer who is available at welfare@fccc.org.uk

The aim is to build cycling skills in a fun, safe environment, as part of British Cycling’s Go-Ride scheme for young riders. Cycling is an essential part of growing up, and we want to help more young people to discover the fun of cycling and to develop lifelong skills. Most of the Great Britain Cycling Team started off at Go-Ride clubs!

A limited number of places are currently available. For more information, and to sign up, please contact kids@fccc.org.uk
