*Note that the club does not have a junior section at this time, so cannot offer coaching.
The club is run entirely by volunteers, and we ask all members to help the club by marshalling or otherwise assisting if possible at one of our open races during the season, and to wear club kit in races and club training rides wherever possible. We also insist that you wear a helmet on club rides.
We also ask that members and prospective members read and make themselves familiar with the Club Ride Guidelines and Code of Conduct and the Club Rules.
A note about first and second claim membership – this is only relevant to those who are members of two or more clubs. In that case, first claim is the club you wish to compete for. Second claim is another club you may join but cannot compete for. So, if you are joining one club only you are always first claim; it’s nothing to do with renewals.
How do I join?
Joining the club is a 3 step process:
1. Fill out our online membership form. This will ask for personal details, emergency contact numbers and your cycling preferences.
2. Your form will automatically be picked up by our membership secretary and processed, usually on the same day. You will then receive an invitation to register on this web site as a user. Look out for messages from the club (it may be in your junk mail!)
3. Once you have registered, a payment request will be sent to you. Next time you log in you will see a popup reminding you to pay by secure credit card.
Please note that if you don’t complete step 3 within one month of registration, your account will be removed.
If you don’t have a credit card, payment can be made via PayPal, electronic bank transfer, cheque by post to the Membership Secretary, or in person at a club night to one of the committee members. Contact Mike (the Membership Secretary) at membership@fccc.org.uk for details
