Dick Poole, long time President and a member of the club since 1969 has one very famous achievement to his name when in 1965 he became the first person to break 48 hours for Lands End to John O’Groats (“LEJOG”).
An amazing feat as I’m sure fellow more leisurely “Lejoggers” will readily attest to.
