The FCCC Hill Climb Championships take place at 10.00am on Saturday 5 September on the 1 Mile HHC018a course (follow this link for the course map https://www.plotaroute.com/route/3203700), starting at the junction of Church Lane, Howards Lane and Brockham Hill Lane in Holybourne.

Please note that the course has been modified by our local CTT District, London West, and this new course of HHC018a finishes around 60m shorter than the old HHC018 – just before the cottage, rather than at the cottage. This is due to another club somehow upsetting the residents of the cottage when they used the old course.

Club trophies are available for the fastest member, the fastest female member, the fastest junior member and the fastest veteran member.

As per usual the club TT is open to members and non-members but only FCCC First Claim members will be eligible for the trophies. It is the rider’s responsibility to check that they have a First Claim (senior/family/under-18) membership if they want to be eligible for a trophy, as opposed to Second Claim membership.

Entrance is free to club members and £5 to non-members (payable at sign-on).

Sign-on is from 20 minutes prior to the start time and will close 5 minutes prior to the start time.

Riders are encouraged to park away from the start and then ride up to the start area.

Helmets, front lights and rear lights are now compulsory to participate in any TT event – make sure you have them all or you will not be able to ride.

CTT REGULATION 14(g) and 14(h): No competitor shall be permitted to start either a Type A or Type B event unless such competitor has affixed to their machine a working front white light and rear red light, either flashing or constant, that is illuminated and in a position that is clearly visible to other road users.

There is no pushing-off.

The Thursday night club TTs may have finished for this year, but we still have two more club TTs to go.

The penultimate Club TT for 2026 is the 25 Mile Club Championships on the H25/88 course (follow this link for the course map https://www.plotaroute.com/route/275405), starting at the River Lane junction on the westbound A31 at Farnham, on 22 August 2026 at 10:00. 

Club trophies are available for the fastest member, the fastest female member, and the fastest veteran member for the annual championships incorporated into this club TT. The “Consolation Cup” is also available for the “member who has not been awarded any other club trophy for the season, recording the fastest actual time” (see the club rules document for the full trophy rules).

The next Club TT is the FCCC 10 mile ROAD BIKE Club Championships on the 10 mile HCC216a course (follow this link for the course map https://www.plotaroute.com/route/198873), starting in Franklin Avenue, Hartley Wintney, on 6 August 2026 at 19:00

Club trophies are available for the fastest “open” member, the fastest female, and the fastest veteran road bike rider for the annual championships incorporated into this club TT.

As per usual the club TT is open to members and non-members riding either TT or road bikes but only FCCC First Claim members riding ROAD BIKES in the event will be eligible for the road bike championships. It is the rider’s responsibility to check that they have a First Claim (senior/family) membership if they want to be eligible for a trophy, as opposed to Second Claim membership.

Entrance is free to club members and £5 to non-members (payable at sign-on).

There are a few criteria that must be followed in order to be eligible for the road bike championships. Please note that these are based on the CTT definition of a road bike, and the CTT definition was updated in 2026 so do make sure you are aware of the very latest regulations. In summary these criteria are as follows:

• The competitor shall normally assume a sitting position on the machine. This position requires that the only points of support are the following: the feet, on the pedals, the seat on the saddle and the hands holding the handlebar, tops, drops or brake hoods.
• The road bike must possess drop or flat handlebars. No tri-bars or clip-on bars are allowed. Handlebars must not be modified or cut down in any way. (Note that we are not enforcing the CTT-defined min/max measurements for handlebars due to the extra hassle of doing so)
• Both front and rear wheels must have at least 12 spokes each with a maximum rim depth of 90mm.
• Helmets used in road bike category events must not cover any part of the ears, have a tear drop / long “tail” or be marketed as a time trial specific helmet. The helmet should not be modified in any way but any features of the helmet (such as sliding vents or covers) can be used.
• Hydration storage is limited to the use of water bottles or cages mounted within the main triangle of the frame for events up to 30 miles.
• N.B. Holding the brake hoods or drops may result in additional points of contact between the wrists/forearms and a rider’s handlebars. Such contact is permitted.
• And in case you’re wondering, racesuits/skinsuits are allowed.

You are asked to park and then ride up to the start area. THERE IS VERY LIMITED SPACE AT THE START AREA SO PLEASE DO NOT PARK IN IN REDLANDS LANE AND DO NOT OBSTRUCT THE ROAD OR RESIDENTS’ DRIVEWAYS.

The best place to park is Bowenhurst Lane adjacent to the BP Service Station just before the finish line – PLEASE RETURN HERE AFTER YOU HAVE FINISHED TO RETURN YOUR RACE NUMBER.

Entrance is free to club members and £5 to non-members (payable at sign-on).

You are asked to park and then ride up to the sign-on area. PLEASE DO NOT PARK IN MORTIMER CLOSE AT THE START AREA. We have had complaints in the past from local residents and do not want to give them any cause to complain.

Please endeavour to park in Hartley Wintney away from the sign-on area and then ride up to sign-on (this will close 5 minutes prior to the start time).

Sign-on is from 20 minutes prior to the start time and will take place in the road adjacent to the finish point marked “B” on the course map referenced above, approximately 150m due south from the start point “A”, where the signs for MILDMAY OAKS are.

The next Club TT is the rescheduled Club 10 mile Championships on the HCC216a course (follow this link for the course map https://www.plotaroute.com/route/198873), starting in Franklin Avenue, Hartley Wintney on 9 July 2026 at 19:00.

This is a change of course from the scheduled HCC175, due to planned roadworks. Please also note that the portion of Bracknell Lane just before the start (leading north from the roundabout in Hartley Wintney) is due to be closed too, however it is supposed to be open from Franklin Avenue onwards (northbound), so this closure isn’t on the course even though you may well come across it getting to the start. As usual, this planned closure may or may not materialise on the night.

Club TT events are open to all but only First Claim FCCC Members are eligible to win the Ladies, Mens, Veterans and Junior trophies that are up for grabs.
