For a Cycling Club with a 120 year history it should come as no surprise that at its heart beats a strong desire to cycle further, faster or simply become fitter on a bike.
Every year at our Club Night of the Year (CNOTY) we celebrate the achievements of a few members of the club (for their success in the prior competitive year) at our annual awards ceremony.
With over 50 trophies to be fought for annually (be it in our weekly Farnborough & Camberley Cycling Club TT’s, the open TT’s we host or National Road, Circuit, Track, Cyclocross or Off-road events our members compete at some of the highest levels in the sport.
Our members might be representing their Country on Zwift (Aaron) or at World Class events such as the World Long Distance Triathlon Championships/Ironman 70.3 (Kendra & Jez), the European Standard Distance Duathlon or World Sprint Duathlon (Ruth), or participating in enormous Sportives & Audax rides, or accumulating points in the National 10’s, 25’s, 30’s, 50’s or 100 mile rides or competing in the 12 and 24 hours in the saddle, or taking their bikes off road to complete in National Cyclocross or Mountain Bike events.
Frankly, it doesn’t matter what trophy you are trying to win at FCCC we have something for almost everyone.
Here are just a few photos of the recipients who came to collect their Trophies and Medals on the night and enjoy a fun evening with their fellow FCCC members and their partners.
Well done to everyone who won an award at FCCC.
Congratulations to Kendra, Henry, Alex, Jez, Sean, Keith, Vernon, Aaron and Paul.
They were each throughly well earned.
Congratulations also go to Andy, Lee, Robin and Kallie who weren’t able to make CNOTY.
They each build on our long history of cycling achievements following in the pedal strokes of Iconic Legends in the sport of cycling – like our very own Dick Poole (Honorary Club President) , Frank Colden and Gene Alexander to name just a few.
Chapeau everyone!
Paul Hosemann (Chair)
