I am delighted to announce that after many months of arduous care and attention Steve Hammatt has been re-writing the underlying computer code to update our software to, in my view, improve some of the functionality of our website.
The new format now offers a more streamlined access to our NEWS items as well as, more importantly for many of you, our Club EVENTS via a new Events calendar.
Click on EVENTS (or the image) to see all the forthcoming things we will be doing as a Club at FCCC. With all of our events now visible in one place we’re giving you the optimal chance to plan your calendars accordingly!
Similarly you may click on NEWS (or the related image) to see the news items we are posting (not only for our members but also for visibility to those interested in visiting our site).
This is only stage one of our ‘website re-development project’ as we continue to work on creating a new methodology for posting weekly rides across the club as well as keeping track on all the forthcoming Club Time Trials (under Jeff and his volunteers stewardship).
For the future, we are working on an enhancement where members offering rides will be able to post those into a new Rides Calendar on our website, which will be also be automatically posted to Facebook too (where many of our members go to find their weekly rides). In addition our members will be able to add those rides to their own personal calendars directly for both Rides and Events. Watch this space!
This is a truly exciting development.
