Our NEXT Ride Leading (Road) Workshop will be on Saturday March 25, 2023
Yes, it’s that time of the year again as we look to secure more ride leaders across our range of weekly rides. We are also developing an off-road ride leading workshop – so watch this space.
We don’t expect you to turn up week in week out as a ride leader but we would like more members to offer to lead rides to spread the load. Out of the 225 members we are reliant on less than a dozen members regularly offering rides but plenty more of you asking for a ride! 😊
Our next Ride Leading Workshop – which will be led by Greg Woodford from Avanti Cycling will be on Saturday March 25th commencing at 1.30pm – 5.30pm.
It is both a classroom and on-bike training session so you will need to bring a road bike on the day!
In the past there was no obligation to lead even though you had been trained, which doesn’t make a huge amount of sense to me – even though I understand the strategy at that time.
This time I would if you want to be trained as a Ride Leader then I ask that you do help us lead rides! Thank you . 🙏
There are no doubt many barriers holding some of you back. We can discuss them all at the workshop! And allay even fears you have. 🙂
Please come and get trained with FCCC and Avanti Cycling. I am even willing to retrain those of you who attended the course before but who need a final nudge to lead a ride.
