Thank you to everyone who came along to our club night last Friday, and a special thanks to Simon Whiten from Handsling Bikes for giving up his time to speak.
We had a great turnout, and those present heard a really interesting talk all about carbon fibre bike frames. Simon talked about the benefits of using carbon as a frame material, he busted some of the myths that have built up over time (e.g. you can’t repair it), and gave a lot of illustrated examples of things that he had learned himself about things that can be done during the frame-building process to produce a high quality product that gives real benefits to the rider.
Again, thanks for helping make this another successful club night, and we’ll give more news about future club nights in due course.
