Sessions are open to all classes of rider from novice to elite, youths to veterans.
There are a small number of bikes available for hire at a cost of £5 per session. However, anyone wishing to hire a bike should get there earlier. If you are hiring a bike it is advisable to bring your own pedals and shoes and tools to attach the pedals to the hire bike, plus a helmet of course.
Novice riders are normally given a sheet with details of track protocol and description of the various track events. They are normally "looked after" separately on the running track until it is considered safe to "let them loose" on the cycle track. A competent road rider is usually ready to compete in the track league after about 4 weeks tuition.
Reading Track League meets most Mondays from 11th April to 26th September.
No licence is required for the training sessions, only for competing in the League.
If you have any questions, or would like to come along to one of the Reading sessions, please contact Dick.
