etape pennines

IMG Challenger World, the organisers of the Etape Caledonia, have announced a new event will be held on 7th October 2012 on a challenging closed roads course in County Durham, England. This is the first closed road sportive to be held in England.  From their website:

"Riders in the inaugural event will enjoy closed roads, top class service support, medals, goody bags and they will of course be joined by familiar faces at the event, all combining to make it a must ride challenge. Being the first ever closed roads sportive in England, riders will be part of something groundbreaking and exciting."  More information here.
