The path along Cove Brook between Hawley Lane and Hazel Avenue has recently been widened and resurfaced to make it suitable for cyclists as well as for pedestrians.
Cove Brook Greenway Group are organising the official opening of the path on 15th October at 1.00 pm near Blunden Hall (Blunden Road, Cove) followed by a "bring your own picnic".
The organisers have invited club members to the opening, perhaps cycling in at about 12.45pm and then staying for the press photos and picnic. They have asked for an indication of how many are likely to come along - if you plan to be there, could you please let Alan know?
