 Thanks to Chris Y for sending more details of activities in Surrey leading up to the Road Race in the 2012 Olympics.

14th of August is the date of a 'dry run' race for the 2012 event and is being called the 'Surrey classic'.

Sadly it's not a sportive - but happily it should be a top class UCI pro event. More details from Bike Radar.
