By popular demand, at the next 'club night' on Friday 6th of May, Farnborough and Camberley Cycling Club (FCCC) member, qualified cycling coach and personal fitness consultant, Simon Kidd, will be following up his successful talk on fitness for cycling, by giving guidance on how to train for cycle events. His talk is titled ''Preparing to Ride Long and Fast'.
In his talk, Simon will explain how the body uses different energy systems (e.g. 'fat burning' or 'carb' burning) and how testing can help individuals to understand how their body reacts and how to train to get the results that are wanted. He will use example data from his testing to show how we are all different, and may need to train in different ways to make the most of our different metabolisms.
The meeting is at 8.30pm on the 6th of May at All Saints Hall, Chapel Lane, Hawley (at the junction with Fernhill Road).
Non-members are welcomed (nay, encouraged!) at a cost of £2.00
