For those of you interested in Running as well as cycling I've just received this email about the Grim Duathlon on the 23rd October....

Dear Club Secretary

Firstly, please excuse the directness of this email but I would like to bring to the attention of your club members an event that is taking place in Aldershot in October 2010.   The GRIM Duathlon takes place over the Army's vehicle testing tracks in Aldershot which has been used as an opening scene in the  James Bond film – Die another Day. 

We are expecting to attract a record field this year over the undulating and varied terrain and we are hoping that we get enough rain to fill the puddles to the usual level of previous years.  If it does, then the course promises all of the usual mud and the famous waist high GRIM Duathlon puddles as you would expect.

We have recently appointed a local cycle shop to be on hand to offer you any technical assistance and advise you may need.  In addition, they will be able to supply competitors with anything they may need or forgotten. 

We will be able to supply you with a print out competitors results onsite via our timing company and a goody bag after the race supplied by various companies.

As in previous years, club members can enter as an individual or as a team of three.

We have produced some posters for you to entice your club members to join in the fun.  If you require a poster, email me and I will send you a pdf version so that you can print and pin up on your club notice board or email.
