Open 10 at Christmas 21st December
We are organising a 10 mile Open TT on 21st December. This is a CTT event. Unfortunately, the organiser listed in the CTT handbook is not able to run the event following her accident.
Thanks to Ron Taylor for agreeing to run the event. Entries can be sent to 57, Southwood Rd, Cove, Farnborough, Hants, GU14 0JH
Urgent Vacancy - Membership
Sadly, because of continuing health issues, our Membership Secretary, Alan, is resigning at the end of the year. To give him time to train somebody, we need a volunteer quickly, as there are quite a few renewals at the end of the year. If you would like to get more details, please contact him or me.
Special Club Night - First Aid for cyclists
Club member, Dave Triska, is giving a special session on first aid for cyclists at the next "1st Friday" meeting on 5th December.
He has a long journey, to make sure that he knows the numbers, please register in advance for this by going to the calendar here. Click Attend Event and save and you will be added to the list. If you would prefer, you can let Bob know if you will attend.
The club dinner and prize presentation is taking place on Saturday, January 31st at the Lismoyne Hotel in Fleet (map). It's a perfect time to meet up with other club members sans lycra and look forward to a new year of cycling.
The menu is:
- Butternut Squash & Sweet Potato Soup
- Char-grilled Butterflied Chicken Breast Pesto Cream
- Sticky Toffee Pudding with Caramel Sauce followed by Coffee & chocolate mints
There are alternative options if you're a vegetarian or have other food sensitivites.
A ticket for the meal is £25 unless you're a prize winner where, further congratulations, you win a ticket too. We will be adding the dinner to the calendar shortly and you will be able to order your ticket online or at a club meeting.
