Most of the club's activities tend to be based on road cycling, although some members are also involved in mountain biking and track racing.
There are regular social/novice/training rides on Wednesdays and Sundays at different speeds as well as faster rides on Sundays, training rides on Saturdays and chaingang rides during the week. Please see the rides section for details. The club also helps to organise races and club members take part in the Surrey League racing. The club has weekly time trials on Thursday evenings during the summer and monthly events on Saturdays during the winter.
There is also a social side to the club and during the winter there are a number of social events including an annual dinner and prize-giving and a skittles evening, and other events are arranged throughout the year. There is a regular 'club night' at 8.30pm on the first and third Fridays of every month at All Saints Hall, Chapel Lane, Hawley (at the junction with Fernhill Road). The first club night each month usually has a presentation or theme on topics such as Training and Sportives as well as providing an opportunity for members and prospective members to meet and chat. The third Friday is just a social gathering.
Members of the club can take advantage of various offers and benefits, including discounts at local cycle shops and huge savings (up to 30% on top brands) on sports drinks, gels, etc. Some of our members save two or three times the cost of membership in this alone! See the Member Offers section of the site for more details. The club subsidises club cycling clothing.
The club has a number of qualified cycling coaches that are happy to help for track, racing, time trialling or other riding skills.
If you have any questions about membership, please contact the Membership Secretary.
