Benefits Of Membership

Club CollageThe membership of the club is from teenagers to members in their 90s! We have members that are just looking for fitness improvement or weight loss, members who take part in sportives and charity rides. We have those interested in time trialling and road racing and the club is involved with track cycling at Calshot and Reading.

Members of the club can take advantage of various offers and benefits, including discounts online and at local cycle shops and huge savings (up to 30% on top brands) on sports drinks, gels, etc. Some of our members save two or three times the cost of membership in this alone! See the Member Offers section of the site for more details. The club also subsidises club cycling clothing.

The club runs training and 'social and novice rides' every week, both during the week and at weekends. There are ladies-only rides.

Further information on the various offers, and details of administration of club purchases, can be found in the members forums section of this site. If you have any questions, please contact the Membership Secretary. Click here for information on joining FCCC.

Club members also have the benefit of lower prices (just £2 entry fee) on club Time Trials.

For those that like competition, the club has annual competitions, a lot of trophies and an annual awards dinner.

We have a forum that can be used to chat to other members and find local riders with similar interests, and there are regular club meetings, both social and informative, at 8.30pm on the first and third Fridays of every month at All Saints Hall, Chapel Lane, Hawley (at the junction with Fernhill Road). The first club night each month usually has a presentation or theme on topics such as Training and Sportives as well as providing an opportunity for members and prospective members to meet and chat. The third Friday is just a social gathering.

The club welcomes approaches from potential partners or suppliers who may have a product or service of possible interest to club members. Club members are also very welcome to suggest ideas and opportunities. Please contact the Membership Secretary.
