Club Member David Hutchins is offering substantial discounts to club members on the cost of renting his chalet in the Pyrenees. The very informative website is here.
David is offering FCCC members 10% price reductions in high season (June to August) and an incredibly generous 20% for the rest of the year. He writes:
"From our Chalet there are several climbs of 1300 to 2000m within easy riding distance; we are on the Cathar trail with Montsegur only a couple of hours or so riding or 30 mins in the car if you prefer. If you don't feel like riding the mountains you can go in the opposite direction and there are an unlimited number of beautiful rides over moderately undulating roads. There is also plenty of 'off road' for those who prefer it. In addition there is usually at least one Tour de France mountain top finish not so far away at places such as Axe le Thermes and Plateau de Beille and there are many 'en route' viewing spots."
