Brian (Sid) Hygate is Back on the Road.
I got this mail...
Older members might be interested in my progress since my pile-up back two years ago. I reckon I'm as repaired as I ever will be, even the new hip is performing well!
Nearly finished my preparation for the Prudential Ride London 100. My F&CCC jersey (which was cut off my back by the paramedic) has been repaired, my wrecked Carlton Giro d' Italia has been professionally rebuilt, and I've put 4000 miles under my wheels since Jan.1st
.I'd be interested to know of any other members who are riding on August 10th. I'm aiming to get inside 6hrs 40mins ( 15mph average ). brianhygate (at) gmail.com
Cheers, Brian (Sid) Hygate.
Well done Team FCCC!

Club Members that want to help with the Tour of Britain
We are liaising with the council to help with the Tour of Britain Road Race, which is starting from Camberley on September 13th. The council is looking for volunteers to help at the start area for the morning. (The Tour organisers will be looking for more marshalls later, apparently).
If you would like to help, please register on the club calendar here, so that we can get an idea of numbers. We would prefer members that have club kit as this is a great chance to boost awareness locally.
Update - the organisers were looking for 24 helpers, and we're up to 19, so just 5 places left! Thanks to those that have responded.
FCCC Track Championship 2014 - now confirmed
Dick reports that he is still one or two short of helpers on timing for this event. Last registrations by the end of the club evening on the 18th July!
Dick has now confirmed that he has booked Reading track for a club "Track Championship" on Wednesday 23rd July. The event will be run using road bikes rather than track bikes.
There will be a warm up session followed by 500m Sprint and Pursuit category competitions. These will be run for Seniors, Juniors, Ladies and Vets. Seniors and Vets will do a 9 lap pursuit, Ladies 6 lap and Juniors 4 laps - the track is 490 m in length.
We will need four timekeepers and a qualified first aider - if you can help, contact Dick

Club Kit & Clothing
The shop has been extended to allow club clothing to be ordered online. At the moment, we are only accepting online orders for stock items, which can be paid for, then collected from Martin at club nights. We do not have any delivery arrangements!
If you want something that is not in stock, let Martin know what you want and we'll include it on the next order.
If you see any bugs on the site, let Bob know.
