Road Race May 11th - Thanks
I got this from Nigel:
"On behalf of Gareth and myself I would like to thank everyone for supporting the clubs road race on Sunday and making it a huge success. All we received were complements from riders and Commissaries at the event on how professional and helpful all the marshals and helpers were. It was definitely a team effort and helps keep cycle road racing on the open roads. Let’s hope that we can get some club members riding our own event next year?
I hope everyone enjoyed the experience and I hope to see you all again same time next year.
Thanks also to Gareth and Nigel for their efforts in organising the event. For those of you that need plenty of warning, your next (and last chance) to volunteer this year is the Xmas 10 on 21st December which Jane is running.
Riding the Pringle - 31st May
All places have now gone for this.
We have been allocated 4 more places by BC for a ride at the velodrome on Saturday 31st May. We have a small number of places available. If you are interested, contact Bob asap. Any places have to be confirmed by 18th May.
No experience is required or equipment - everything needed is available for hire.

Well done to those that got out despite the miserable weather!
Rides in the Forum & Members Only area
A while ago, a member mentioned to the committee that he was concerned about rides being discussed in open forum as there could be a potential security issue.
Simon (thanks!) therefore has set up a new forum in a Members only forum which now has two sections - General and Rides.
We prefer to keep the forums open for the public to read (although only members can post), so if you are likely to make a post that could cause contention with discussions that are best not seen by guests, please start them in the members only "Issues and concerns" forum. We may move threads to that forum if they develop in that way.
Those coordinating rides might want to check with their regulars if they want to use the public or the private areas of the forum.
