April 3rd Club Meeting Cancelled
As the 3rd of April is Good Friday, the club meeting schedule is being cancelled. The only meeting in April will be on the 17th.
Are there any parents, teachers or governors that can help with accessing a local school willing to link up with the club? This is needed as part of the Clubmark process, which we are currently undertaking and will benefit the club by promoting cycling to a new audience. For the school, it would involve providing additional opportunities through coaching sessions and provide the young a chance to run of out-of-hours activities.
Please contact Nick if you can help.

Wightlink Wight Challenge
Sometimes, moving forwards cycling isn't the only way. There are often other ways like repeatedly hitting the water with paddles and propelling yourself using an archaic fast-walking motion. All of which sounds like a triathon and very likely violating The Rules. In this case, it's for a very good cause. If you can cycle 19 miles (and if you're here, you should), can canoe 2 miles, run a further 8 miles, and complete it all with 2 other friends, then sign up today for the Wightlink Wight Challenge. The challenge takes place on mixed terrain. and will be great for triathlon beginners or those just looking for a challenge. The event in aid of three local charities: Sail 4 Cancer, Wessex Heartbeat and The Rainbow Centre.
Entry is £45 p.p which includes FREE return ferry travel (courtesy of Wightlink Ferries), goody bag and well deserved meal at the end of the day. There is also a minimum of £100 sponsorship per-person.
The event takes place on Saturday, 26th September and starts at 0830 and finished at 1700. Canoes are provided and bikes are available for hire if required. There are limited spaces available, so head over to the website for more information. If you'd like to go and need people to go with, stick a post up in the foums.
